An 11-day unjuried theatre festival that happens every summer in downtown Hamilton

The Venues

The Hamilton Fringe Festival takes place at numerous venues in and around the James St North district.

Please be advised: the Fringe staff will do their best to accommodate anybody with accessibility issues however, we regret that not all our venues are completely accessible. Please see the notes on each individual venue for any accessibility limitations.

The Fringe Club is located in the east end of Gore Park between Hughson and John.
The licensed patio is presented in partnership with Redchurch Café + Gallery (68 King St. E.)

Three steps are required to access theatre seating. There is wheelchair access through doorway to the right of entrance. Please see venue captain upon arrival. Wheelchair accessible, gender-neutral bathrooms are available.

Three steps are required to access the studio theatre through the east doors. There is wheelchair access through an alternate entrance. Please see venue captain upon arrival. Wheelchair accessible, gender-neutral bathrooms are available.

The theatre is wheelchair accessible and includes 5 spaces for wheelchairs adjacent to the lounge area (with companion seats), and a fully accessible washroom just a few feet away from the seating area.

Five steps are required to access the performance venue. This venue is not wheelchair accessible.

Steps are required to access the cafe through the Dundurn St entrance. There is a wheelchair ramp on the west side of the building for shows in the Main Space. Please see venue captain upon arrival.
The Elaine Mae and Brightroom are not wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair accessible, gender neutral bathrooms are available. 

BYOV #3:

Entrance is through the north side doors on Sherman Ave. Three flights of stairs are required to access the third floor performance space. An elevator is available upon request. Please see venue captain upon arrival. A wheelchair accessible washroom is available on the second floor.

Steps are required to enter the building, and the performance space is up a full flight of stairs. This venue is not wheelchair accessible.

The show at this venue is an outdoor promenade production, with audience movement required between locations. Paved surfaces are available outdoors for movement. Wheelchair accessible, gender neutral bathrooms are available.

Two small steps are required to enter the primary Main St doors. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance to the west of the main doors. There are steps to the performance venue on the second floor.
