  • How do I buy tickets? 
    • We’ve created this helpful video guide to walk you through the process of booking tickets in our new ticketing system:

  • Do I NEED to make an account? 
    • Yes! This festival is primarily digital, which means we need to send you the links and passwords to see your shows. It also means we can get in touch with you quickly if there’s been a change to an event, and it allows our ticketing system to ensure you only purchase a Digital Backer ‘Button’ once (instead of charging you $5 every time you book a ticket).
  • How does the Digital Backer ‘Button’ work?
    • 100% of Hamilton Fringe Festival ticket revenue goes directly back to the artists. That makes the purchase of a Digital Fringe Backer ‘Button’ an important way for audiences to support the festival itself. Proceeds from this year’s Digital Fringe Backer ‘Button’ will help the Hamilton Fringe Festival to continue thriving, giving future Fringe artists new opportunities to share their work with you.
    • In order to begin the ticket buying process, every Fringe patron must make a one-time purchase of a $5 Digital Fringe Backer ‘Button’, either as part of a pass or buying the ‘Button’ separately. After purchasing your Digital Fringe Backer ‘Button’, you will have your choice of Accessible | Kids, Regular, or Support the Artist Tickets. Remember you only need to buy the ‘Button’ once for the duration of the festival.
  • How do I access my shows?
    • For Digital Exclusives, Bring Your Own Virtual Venue, Theatre On Demand, and Family Fringe On Demand shows, you will receive an email reminder the morning of your show with a link and password to access your on-demand show.
  • I’m seeing an error message. What does it mean?
    • If you are seeing a 404 error message (image below), your show is not ready to be viewed yet! Double check the festival schedule for the dates the event streams live or is available for on-demand viewing. If you’re not sure, please contact the Box Office and they can provide further details.

  • I bought my tickets online and received my confirmation email. What now?
    • For patrons who have purchased Digital Exclusives, Bring Your Own Virtual Venue, Theatre on Demand, and Family Fringe on Demand shows, you will receive an email reminder the morning of your show with a link and password to access your on-demand show.
    • If you have ordered a Skip The Glitches show, you will find a link to the Technical Booking Questionnaire which must be completed to confirm your booking. Click here for more details about booking a Skip The Glitches show.
  • I bought my tickets online and my credit card was charged, but I didn’t get a confirmation email. What now?
    • Check your spam folders for an order confirmation from [email protected]. If you still do not see your order confirmation, please email [email protected] and a Hamilton Fringe representative will look into the issue.
  • I need to speak with someone directly. How can I contact the Hamilton Fringe Box Office?
    • Leading up to the festival, our Remote Box Office is available by email or phone (voicemail only) and a Hamilton Fringe representative will get back to you within one business day. Click here to contact us!
  • I ordered a Skip The Glitches show and I didn’t get my performance time slot emailed to me. What should I do?  
    • You will receive a personalized email from [email protected] 24 hours before your show date with your approximate performance time for the following evening (keep an eye on your spam and junk folders!). If you do not receive an email by 7pm the day before your scheduled performance date, please call 289-698-2234 and a Box Office team member can confirm your show arrival details over the phone.
  • I booked an online show for X day, but I want to see it on Y day instead. How can I exchange my ticket?
    • Good news! All on-demand shows are available to stream for a period of eleven days during the festival. No need to exchange your ticket, just use the same link and password to watch your show anytime. Streaming periods for individual series are as follows:
      —Digital Exclusives and Bring Your Own Virtual Venue: July 15 to 25
      —Theatre On Demand: July 16 to 26
      —Family Fringe On Demand: July 17 to 27
    • Skip The Glitches performances are available only for the date purchased. Due to the complex booking and delivery process, to ensure artists do not miss out on opportunities to book performances, no refunds or exchanges are available.   • My online show time says 00:00. When can I watch it?
    • All Theatre On Demand, Family Fringe On Demand and Digital Exclusives (including BYOV2) shows are available to stream on-demand during the periods listed above. You will receive an email when the show first becomes available as well as on your selected performance date with the URL and password to access your show. When you watch is up to you!
  • I’m running late or early or need to stop the performance mid-show, what should I do?
    • All Theatre On Demand, Family Fringe On Demand and Digital Exclusives (including BYOV2) shows are available to stream on-demand during the periods listed above. You can start, stop, pause, or rewatch the show any time!
  • I bought a pass, but I am not getting any daily email reminders. How do I see the shows?
    • You must use your pass to redeem tickets for events. After you have purchased your pass, click ‘What’s On’ at the top menu to browse your shows. Once you have selected your show, add the matching Passholder Ticket to your basket and check out. You will receive a confirmation email with the details of the tickets and shows you redeemed with your pass, and on the day of your selected performance, an email with the URL and password to access your show.   • I registered to attend a Kids Club Camp event but it turns out I have a conflict, should I cancel my registration?
    • We’ll miss you, but don’t worry! Free events don’t require a cancellation.
  • Is there a refund policy?
    • Fringe policy is that all sales are final. We do not offer exchanges or refunds. However, if you have made an error in the booking process, please email us at [email protected] and we will do our best to assist you.
