Rod Nettagog

Rod Nettagog (‘Bluestone Cloud’, Ojibwe, Bear Clan) is from Henvey Inlet First Nation. He has been singing, dancing, and drumming for over two decades and is regularly invited to powwows and aboriginal cultural events with the Little Creek Drum throughout Ontario and the United States. His music was nominated at the Indigenous Music Awards (Winnipeg) in both 2018 and 2019. Rod was a featured guest artist with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra and Windsor Symphony Orchestra. In 2015, he facilitated a presentation at the Aboriginal JUNO Awards and performed at the Pan Am games. He is the Cultural Facilitator for Bluestonecloud, teaching traditional drumming and performing. Rod sat on the Youth and Elders Committee at the Hamilton Aboriginal Health Centre (De dwa dehs nye>s) and sits on powwow organizing committees in the Hamilton area (‘Protecting Mother Earth’) and his home community.
