Hamilton Fringe

Now in its 18th season, the Hamilton Fringe creates a platform for independent, emerging, and established theatre artists in Hamilton.

Impact of COVID-19

As we all know, COVID-19 has severely impacted the arts sector. The Hamilton Fringe relies heavily on financial support from grants, funders, sponsors, Fringe Club earned revenue, backer button sales and Tip the Fringe donations that we will not be able to collect in 2020.

If you are not in a position to donate, we understand. We are happy to have you as part of our community and appreciate your many contributions to our cultural landscape.

If you are able to donate, it’s fast and easy!

You can choose to support one of the programs described below, or our general operations fund.

The Hamilton Fringe Festival is a non-profit organization and any donation of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt.

The Hamilton Fringe in 2019

2019 marks the 16th year for the Fringe, and this festival has been growing into itself in the best possible way. The 2018 festival broke records in attendance and at the box office – with 100% of the net profits going directly into the artists’ pockets. In February 2019, we celebrated the 4th instalment of Frost Bites. Through the love and support of many in this community, the Hamilton Fringe is growing into a fine young festival.

16 years is no small feat. In fact, many of us in this community have come up right alongside the Fringe. And for so many theatre makers, the Fringe is our first step onto the stage. It is an accessible, inexpensive, exciting way to cut your creative teeth – for artists and audience members alike.

It doesn’t take much to be the much-needed water for that thirsty, growing little wildflower that pushed its way into the Hamilton sunlight 15 years ago. Donate today to help the Hamilton Fringe reach new heights!
